MILLBROOK POTTERY is made in Beckenham, Kent by Peter Curtis.

I started my working life as a dancer with Ballet Rambert.  I danced with the company for 11 years and began making pottery in 1978 after leaving the company and moving to Devon.  My pottery is influenced by my dance background as well as my love of plants and flowers and colour is an important feature in my designs. Each piece of pottery is individually thrown, turned and decorated by hand and therefore no two pieces are identical.

My pottery has been exported to many countries around the world.  In addition it has been sold at Bonham’s contemporary ceramics auctions.

Despite now being 74 years old I still occasionally dance in a professional capacity, though not too often! In recent years I have danced in film, television and stage productions,  in the early part of this year (2017) I danced with the Royal Opera Company in "La Traviata", my 23 rd year in this particular production, and my 56th year as a professional dancer.
